Principal Account Executive (PAE)

We are looking for Principal Account Executives who will be key in prospecting, maintaining, and expanding relationships with accounts in assigned territories, owning the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to closing business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Become a subject matter expert on Veracode's product offerings for key clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic account and territory sales plans to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and nurture key relationships to educate clients on our products and services.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and quotations.
  • Maintain accurate client account and prospect information within the CRM database.
  • Review and negotiate complex agreements, serving as the primary point of contact for Veracode.
  • Manage and resolve general sales inquiries and respond to RFPs.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, Services, Pre-Sales Engineering, Renewals, Development, and Executive teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent Veracode at trade shows and seminars as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5-8 years of experience selling B2B applications, including on-demand/SaaS and IT Infrastructure Management.
  • Fluent in Italian is highly desired.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling to technical audiences such as Security, Dev/Ops, IT Operations, and C-Level executives.
  • Strong business acumen and a history of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly expanding and evolving high-growth company environment.
  • Experience in both direct and channel sales environments.
  • Clear understanding of procurement processes, negotiation tactics, and deal closing.
  • Force Management experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) or equivalent CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
