Position Overview

The RVP-Independent Distribution is a key relationship manager and wholesaler for fixed Ameritas Life, Disability, and Annuity products within the Independent Distribution Channel. This role is crucial for developing and executing sales strategies, identifying and managing distribution partners, and providing essential training and support.

Position Location

  • Remote (no regular in-office presence required)

What You Will Do

  • Recruit and maintain relationships with new and existing partners and assigned offices to manage production.
  • Develop and monitor a strategic regional plan, tracking key metrics to ensure goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide optimal tools and resources, including field training on selling skills, systems, product information, needs analysis, marketing, compliance, and technology.
  • Facilitate due diligence reviews for organizations seeking to partner with Ameritas.
  • Ensure effective onboarding for new relationships, mentor junior team members, and deliver impactful training.
  • Gather and document competitive intelligence and industry insights to inform divisional strategy adjustments.
  • Plan and manage resource deployment to maximize territory sales, including budgeting and expense management.
  • Identify and resolve complex issues for both internal and external parties.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of insurance experience with an emphasis on sales or marketing.
  • 4-7 years of relationship or account management experience with IMOs/IBDs/Strategic partners.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing a territory within the independent distribution channel through IMO relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and deepen relationships with IMOs and key distribution partners.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, adept at delivering impactful presentations both in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive sales results through relationship management, business planning, and consultative selling.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize opportunities and manage multiple strategic relationships concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve territory growth objectives.
