Job Summary

As a key member of the Demand Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director, you will support the team's operational processes. This role requires an understanding of SSP operations, domain approvals, blocklist implementations, and ticket management. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Publisher Success, Publisher Support, Product/Engineering, and Onboarding teams to drive revenue growth for both Freestar and its publishers.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution across SSP partner platforms, including domain approval submissions, placement ID generation/validation, and inventory settings configuration.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for SSPs and demand partners, supporting onboarding, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimizations. Proactively follow up on requests, escalate issues, and maintain strong relationships for timely responses.
  • Implement and maintain advertiser and category blocklists across SSPs based on publisher requirements, brand safety guidelines, and performance insights.
  • Investigate discrepancies in bidder performance (CPM, win rate, fill rate). Partner with internal teams and external SSPs to diagnose issues and implement data-driven solutions to improve yield.
  • Extract, consolidate, and analyze performance data from multiple SSP dashboards, translating it into actionable insights and identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Manage and audit ads.txt files across publisher properties to ensure accurate representation of authorized sellers and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct recurring audits of site and partner setups to identify gaps in demand coverage, misconfigurations, or underperforming integrations.
  • Monitor changes in the programmatic ecosystem (e.g., privacy regulations, signal loss, new SSP capabilities) and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain clear, standardized documentation for operational workflows, partner requirements, and troubleshooting playbooks.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in Ad Tech within the digital marketing industry.
  • Familiarity with Programmatic advertising.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Hubspot, ZenDesk, etc.).
  • Understanding of digital media supply and demand chains.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on relationship building.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
