About the Role: Bilanzbuchhalter / Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

We are seeking a dedicated Bilanzbuchhalter / Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting and accounting processes. You will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to process optimization and digitalization.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and consolidation processes within the group.
• Monitor and continuously improve closing and reporting processes for quality and timeliness.
• Oversee key areas of financial accounting and ensure smooth operations.
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, as well as intercompany transactions.
• Act as a competent point of contact for external auditors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Organize and support annual audits, tax audits, and operational audits.
• Provide expert support to management on financial and balance sheet matters.
• Assist with tax-related issues and the preparation of statutory reports.
• Identify and implement optimization potentials within financial processes.
• Develop digital workflows, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
• Participate in company-wide projects related to Finance, Reporting, and Compliance.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling, or a comparable qualification such as a Certified Accountant (IHK).
• Several years of practical experience in accounting, financial accounting, or financial statement preparation.
• In-depth knowledge of HGB accounting standards and experience with annual financial statements.
• Knowledge of group accounting or consolidation processes is advantageous.
• Confident interaction with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally modern Microsoft solutions.
• Excellent Excel skills and a strong understanding of numbers and processes.
• Enthusiasm for digital transformation, process optimization, and modern finance organizations.
• Structured, self-reliant, and goal-oriented work approach.
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a high degree of responsibility.
• Good English language skills for international communication.
