Position Summary

Curaleaf International is a leading vertically integrated medical cannabis business in Europe, operating across the UK, Germany, Poland, and Australia, with EU GMP-certified production facilities in Portugal, Spain, and Canada. With rapid revenue growth, the company is building the commercial infrastructure to match. This newly created role is central to Curaleaf International's commercial operations, responsible for establishing the demand-led commercial infrastructure needed for scaling: demand planning, sales governance frameworks, and commercial processes that link market intelligence to supply decisions. Working alongside market Managing Directors, this individual will instill the discipline and rigor required to translate commercial ambition into executable plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Governance and Sales Process

  • Create long-term pipeline visibility by developing tools, templates, and disciplines for a consolidated forward view of commercial performance.
  • Establish a commercial review cadence, including weekly market reviews where country heads present pipeline, wins/losses, and pricing issues against a consistent framework.
  • Define best practices for pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy in each market and build processes to achieve them.

Own the Commercial Demand Signal

  • Own the forward-looking commercial demand plan: a SKU-level, market-by-market view of business needs, grounded in real market intelligence.
  • Ensure the demand signal is locked and signed off at the start of each planning cycle, providing a stable basis for supply teams.
  • Partner with the Group Demand & S&OP Manager to ensure the commercial demand signal integrates smoothly into the S&OP process.
  • Partner with Finance for the monthly re-forecast process, ensuring changes to the demand signal are governed and visible, not ad hoc.
  • Perform SKU-level, market-by-market demand signal analysis for smaller business entities.
  • Engage in long-term portfolio planning with the US-based team for market evolution insights, and collaborate with the regulatory team for industry change insights, to create a forward-looking consolidated plan for R&D and genetics.
  • Create mid-to-high level long-term demand plans incorporating market analysis and portfolio planning for bi-annual handover to GMs, enabling them to translate into SKU-level forecasts.
  • Ensure the demand signal is locked and signed off at the start of each planning cycle for supply teams.
  • Partner with the Group Demand & S&OP Manager to ensure the commercial demand signal feeds cleanly into the S&OP process.
  • Partner with Finance for monthly re-forecast process; changes to the demand signal are governed and visible, not ad hoc.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • 10+ years in commercial operations, merchandising, demand planning, or commercial excellence, with a proven track record of building these functions.
  • Background in FMCG; direct experience with prescription, pharmacy, or clinical channels is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to design and implement sales governance frameworks and demand planning processes in a multi-market environment lacking unified processes.
  • Strong analytical capability, with comfort in independently building SKU-level demand models, margin analyses, and commercial dashboards.
  • Experience working alongside geo-based commercial teams in a matrix structure, influencing without direct line authority.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with multi-country demand planning across markets with structurally different commercial models.
  • Experience working with or alongside an S&OP function, with a clear understanding of the delineation between commercial demand planning and S&OP mechanics.

You:

  • A "player-coach": designs the framework and executes the work.
  • A builder: energized by creating new processes and governance structures.
  • Direct and constructive: capable of providing critical feedback without damaging relationships.
  • Committed to Curaleaf values: Lead & Inspire, Commit to Win, Customer Obsession, One Curaleaf, Driven to Deliver Excellence.
