About the Role

As a key member of our consulting team, you will be instrumental in creating, evaluating, and managing sophisticated technical solutions that drive client success. You'll engage in team-based projects, applying Agile methodologies and modern technology stacks across the full Software Development Lifecycle. Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, integrate, and support on-premise, cloud, and hybrid development solutions.
• Develop roadmaps and high-level design documentation, including epics and stories.
• Identify and articulate architectural and solution tradeoffs for client-specific needs.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of various architectural frameworks relevant to our clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development initiatives by showcasing CapTech’s technical expertise.
• Lead the design and architecture of Java-based solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Create technical project estimates and work plans.
• Engage in hands-on coding alongside architectural responsibilities.
• Develop solutions encompassing API-driven clients, microservice architectures, event-driven integrations, cloud deployments, serverless applications, and web/portal frontends.
• Gain experience in Agentic AI development, including building and utilizing AI agents.
• Leverage a varied AI toolset, such as Claude code, CodeX, Opencode, and OpenClaude.
• Potentially contribute to AI orchestration projects.

• Influence and guide professional development for all team levels through teaching, coaching, and collaborative project work.

Qualifications

Required:

• Enterprise-level experience with modern Java, its core libraries, and open-source frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in software development, enterprise architecture, and leading technical teams.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures, monitoring tools, databases, and containerization.
• Strategic thinking ability, connecting architectural recommendations to business needs and client culture.
• Extensive knowledge and application of Design Patterns.
• Proficiency in communicating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience assessing software system performance and implementing optimization tools.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Knowledge of data engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake).
• AI/ML certifications or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Azure AI Engineer).
• Experience with Legacy Systems and Architectures, including SaaS.
