About the Role

Mast-Jägermeister US is seeking a Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) to lead one of its dynamic US sales regions. This pivotal role carries full sales responsibility and offers the chance to build brands people love and create moments worth celebrating.

Responsibilities

Distributor Management

  • Partner with and influence Distributor Regional Presidents on region strategy to develop and grow the MJUS portfolio.
  • Lead regional planning and negotiations with Distributor partners.
  • Maintain Distributors' share of mind and continually evaluate their effectiveness, providing feedback on performance.
  • Ensure Distributor leadership remains aligned and focused on key channels, distribution targets, and programs.

Regional Sales and Commercial Planning

  • Drive awareness of annual strategic priorities during the planning process.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the region's spirits market, including key accounts, competitors, trends, and consumer behavior.
  • Execute annual and long-term sales plans to grow MJUS brands in the region, setting strategies for key on- and off-premise markets.
  • Track financial targets, including volume, accounts sold, and cold equipment.
  • Ensure effective communication of the plan to the organization and Distributors for alignment.
  • Develop regional commercial solutions to improve brand execution and image, focusing on distribution, merchandising, shelf management, drink features, and promotions.
  • Possess expert proficiency in pricing, profit, and brand economics, with the ability to educate others.

People Leadership

  • Inspire and manage an effective regional leadership team, conducting regular business reviews.
  • Establish individual accountability through clear communication of expectations, goals, and KPIs.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training, including the "Making Meisters" (7 Steps) program.
  • Build bench strength and develop future leaders within the company.
  • Continuously upgrade the organization's talent pool through training, internal promotions, and external hiring when necessary.

Analysis & Execution

  • Drive accountability for MJUS budget management across the region (T&E and LPF budgets).
  • Ensure the salesforce uses data to drive business, effectively utilizing tools to analyze ROI and market performance.
  • Manage Salesforce, ensuring timely and effective tracking of Point-Of-Sale data.
  • Ensure Salesforce effectively utilizes sales tools like VIP i-Dig and Karma.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 15+/- years of experience in Sales/Marketing, preferably in the spirits, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in distributor relationship management, account management, and chain management.
  • Innovative and creative approach to distributors and business expansion.
  • Proven leadership maturity with success in leading, developing, motivating, and training sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, vision-sharing, and inspirational skills.
  • Ability to formulate strategies and execute them to drive results.
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills.
  • Well-developed influence and negotiation skills; persistent and persuasive.
  • Ability to make significant contributions to the organization's Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including DISCUS and NABCA beverage alcohol laws.
  • Frequent travel required (30-40%); must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • College degree required.

Location

  • Remote, must reside in the East Region.
  • Role requires 30-40% travel within the market.
