Your Mission:
As a key member of the People Operations team, you will ensure a seamless employee experience from day one. You will be an expert on Swiss employment law, providing clarity and confidence in complex HR matters and supporting employees, managers, and People Partners throughout the employee lifecycle. This is a part-time (60-80%) role for an 8-month fixed-term contract, with an ideal start in September or October 2026.
Your Responsibilities:
- Administer the full employee lifecycle for our Swiss entity, including contracts, changes, offboarding, and leave management, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Own People Operations for our French entity in collaboration with our local payroll provider.
- Serve as the go-to expert on Swiss labor law, advising on employment contracts, terminations, parental leave, and other related matters.
- Manage communication with Swiss tax authorities, immigration offices, and government institutions in German.
- Maintain and improve our HRIS, Personio, ensuring data accuracy, efficient workflows, and meaningful automations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding contracts, benefits, and HR policies with clarity and empathy.
- Manage complex initiatives end-to-end, driving outcomes and aligning stakeholders across People, Finance, and Legal.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process simplification opportunities and exploring new technologies, including AI, to enhance efficiency.
Your Story:
- Comfortable working in a hybrid format, with the ability to come to our St. Gallen office once per week.
- 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a similar role, ideally within a scaling tech company or international environment.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Swiss labor law.
- Fluent in English and business fluent in German. French is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS; strong knowledge of Personio is a significant advantage.
- Naturally curious about AI and new tools, eager to share knowledge and explore new ways of working.
- Proven track record of owning and improving processes end-to-end.
- Precise, proactive, and self-directed with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust easily.
