Asset Accountant (m/f/d)

About the Role

On behalf of our partner company in Munich, we are seeking an Asset Accountant (m/f/d) to join their team at the earliest possible opportunity.

Responsibilities (Aufgaben):

• Design and optimize processes within Asset Lifecycle Management and support asset-related workflows.
• Manage master data, record complex asset movements, and book assets under construction, including subsequent settlement.
• Support monthly and annual financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB) and monitor asset-related accounts and open items.
• Perform valuations of different asset classes on the balance sheet, ensuring correct accounting treatment and presentation.
• Document accounting decisions, coordinate asset inventories, and collaborate closely with internal business departments.

Qualifications (Qualifikation):

• A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or a commercial apprenticeship (e.g., as a Certified Accountant - Bilanzbuchhalter) with relevant professional experience.
• At least two years of experience in asset accounting, general accounting, or asset management.
• Proficient knowledge in designing asset processes and handling complex asset-related matters.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, teamwork capabilities, and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
