About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to serve as the primary technical expert for our fund accounting services. This role is crucial for ensuring excellence in handling complex accounting matters, providing final review authority, and acting as the ultimate subject matter expert for the team. You will lead technical decisions, drive process innovations, and offer authoritative guidance on sophisticated client portfolios and advanced accounting modules.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the team’s technical authority, supporting complex accounting matters and ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Perform final review of sophisticated accounting deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive technical excellence, innovation, and establish best practices, standards, and methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and stakeholder support, acting as the primary expert for client-specific and fund segment matters.

About You (Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least 4 years specifically in fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex portfolios and advanced accounting modules.
  • Subject matter expert in technical accounting, possessing strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and experience with final review/sign-off of complex financial reports.
  • Proficiency in advanced accounting systems and experience in developing/reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), methodologies, and compliance processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including workload planning, resolving review issues, coaching team members, and driving technical development.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a mindset focused on process improvement.
