Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Account Executive (AE) Trainee - Cloud Cost Savings
Wring has experienced rapid growth, scaling from €0 to €1M in revenue within its first 8 months, and we are expanding quickly. We specialize in helping companies reduce their cloud costs – for free. Our value proposition is straightforward and easy for clients to accept; our challenge is ensuring that value is delivered rapidly.
Tasks
You will begin in a sourcing role, building pipeline through outbound efforts. This involves identifying the right startups, targeting the appropriate individuals, and initiating conversations. The plan is for you to transition into a closing Account Executive role within 4–6 months. You will start by sourcing and qualifying leads, then shadow and co-run calls, and as you gain confidence, you will begin closing the pipeline you have built.
You will engage with founders, CTOs, and DevOps leads at fast-growing startups across Europe and the US. This is a technically adjacent sale. While you don't need to be an engineer, you must be able to effectively communicate the value of saving approximately "~20% of your AWS bill, for free" to a technical buyer.
What You'll Do
- Source pipeline through outbound activities: build target lists, execute cold email and cold call campaigns, and initiate conversations with companies that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). (Our stack: Apollo, Clay, Smartlead.)
- Qualify leads honestly: book meetings that represent a genuine fit, not just to meet a quota. A clean pipeline is valued over a full one.
- Follow up relentlessly: cloud savings are attractive but rarely urgent. Persistence and strategic timing open more doors than sheer volume.
- Learn the closing process: shadow AE calls, co-run them, and gradually take ownership as you ramp up, aiming to close the deals you sourced by the time you graduate.
- Help shape the outbound strategy: contribute to refining messaging, identifying converting lists, and optimizing channel effectiveness. You will be instrumental in improving the sales engine, not just operating it.

- Experience with outbound sales tooling (Apollo, Clay, Smartlead) or a prior SDR/BDR role.

Wring assists startups in reducing cloud expenses at no cost to them. While various cloud savings methods exist, we guide clients through them: we identify incentive programs they cannot access independently, help them make strategic commitments, and provide tooling for infrastructure advice. We pass 100% of the savings directly to the customer and generate revenue as an AWS channel partner. There is no upfront fee, no revenue share, and no code changes required from the client.
