Your Role: Safety & Compliance Engineer

As a Safety & Compliance Engineer, you will ensure our systems are safe and our processes are legally compliant. You will be responsible for System Safety, Export Control, and Approval Management, acting as the point of contact for authorities – a role with genuine responsibility in the defense technology sector.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct FHA, FMEA, and FTA analyses
• Manage Export Control and Approval Management
• Create safety concepts for test benches and flight tests
• Communicate with authorities and relevant bodies
• Establish and maintain compliance processes
• Support certification and release processes

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in Engineering, (Business) Law, or a comparable field
• Knowledge of German export control law for weapon systems (AWG, KWKG)
• Experience with System Safety methods
• Structured, documentation-strong working style and understanding of complex technical systems
• Experience with BAAINBw, aviation, or security authorities is an advantage
• ITAR and international compliance experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of military development and approval processes is an advantage
• Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills
• Citizenship of an EU or NATO member state (excluding USA) and willingness to undergo security screening according to SÜG
