Senior SAT or ACT Tutor (Remote, Contract)

About the Role

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking talented Senior SAT or ACT Tutors to join one of our esteemed chapters for online assignments. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely and help high school students (grades 9-12) achieve their college goals.

Position Details

• Position: SAT & ACT Full Test Tutor
• Location: Remote online tutoring
• Job Classification: Contract
• Materials: Provided
• Time Zone: n/a (company operates on US EST)
• Tutoring Rate: $50-60/hr

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive tutoring for SAT and ACT full tests to students in grades 9-12.
• Teach key concepts and skills effectively to students.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
• Build rapport and connect with teenage students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a highly reputable university.
• At least 2 years of experience as a professional SAT or ACT full test tutor.
• A minimum of 500 combined tutoring session hours in SAT and/or ACT.
• Strong scores on either the SAT or ACT.
• Native English speaker residing in the United States.
• Proven ability to relate easily to adolescents.
• Strong academic background, as evidenced by high school, college, and graduate school grades.
• A true passion for teaching and a compassionate/understanding attitude.
• Excellent teaching instincts and ability to explain concepts in various ways.
• Good interpersonal skills and exceptionally clear communication style.
• Availability and desire to tutor 4 to 12 hours per week.
