The Impact You’ll Have

Trusted Technical Advisor:

  • Serve as the primary technical and payments advisor for strategically important customers, managing all technical aspects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to analyze requirements and support new business opportunities.
  • Ensure key technical influencers at customer and prospect organizations deeply understand Marqeta's technology, its strategic advantages, and integration processes.
  • Solve immediate technical challenges and contribute to customers' long-term money movement strategies.

Proactive Problem-Solver:

  • Address customer issues with empathy, providing clear recommendations and anticipating downstream impacts.
  • Document findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and establish repeatable standards.

Customer Advocate:

  • Represent the "voice of the customer" in product and engineering meetings, providing critical insights and guidance.
  • Leverage cross-team and customer interactions to understand market dynamics and identify opportunities for product development.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in roles such as Technical Account Management, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Consulting within high-tech or financial technology services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences and translate them into business value.
  • Proven ability to execute quickly, provide effective resolutions, and analyze situations from multiple perspectives.
  • Skilled in facilitating customer collaboration and influencing internal teams to achieve desired customer outcomes.
  • A resourceful problem-solver who proactively suggests improvements and challenges the status quo.
  • Adept at prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a high degree of motivation and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for learning about APIs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of fintech, including acquiring, networks, and point-of-sale systems, particularly on the issuing side.
  • Proven ability to identify key customer stakeholders, engage them, and build relationships autonomously.
