Collections Manager

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–6 collections professionals.
• Manage day-to-day collections operations in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Partner closely with attorneys, partners, and firm leadership to resolve collection issues and improve recovery efforts.
• Handle escalated collection matters and complex client situations.
• Monitor aging reports, portfolio performance, and collection trends.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce delinquency.
• Collaborate with Billing, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure timely resolution of billing-related issues.
• Produce reporting and provide insights to leadership regarding collections performance and portfolio risk.
• Support a culture of accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.

What They’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of collections and/or accounts receivable experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing collections teams.
• Prior experience within a law firm or professional services environment is required.
• Proven ability to manage collections in a high-volume environment.
• Strong experience working directly with attorneys, partners, and executive leadership.
• Experience improving collection performance, reducing aging, and driving cash flow improvements.
• Strong Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar legal financial systems is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 a year
