The Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Warehouse & BI team. This hands-on role is critical for expanding the reach and operational impact of our modern data platform, focusing on report development, model enhancement, and maintaining the reliability of our analytics stack. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, dispatch, inventory, and vendor management to deliver insights that improve business operations.
What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain, and extend Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and alerts for finance, operations, inventory, dispatch, and vendor management.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries against Snowflake for data investigation, model building, and answering business questions.
- Build and refactor dbt models to standardize and harmonize data from multiple ERP systems into a unified, comparable schema.
- Structure data in a scalable and consumable format to empower the organization.
- Reconcile disparate source-system definitions (e.g., chart of accounts, item masters) to provide a true apples-to-apples view for the business.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand operational context, and translate business needs into reliable reporting.
- Proactively identify and surface data findings, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor Fivetran connectors, dbt runs, and Power BI refreshes; triage and resolve data quality and pipeline issues.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests that support business decisions.
- Document data models, definitions, and report logic for knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience as a data analyst, analytics engineer, or BI developer.
- Extremely strong SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, indexing, stored procedures, performance tuning, and debugging complex joins.
- Understanding of relational databases and scalable design.
- Extremely strong Power BI skills, including:
- DAX and data modeling
- Calculation groups
- Alerting and operational enablement (including Power Apps integration)
- Performance tuning, row-level security, and report design best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or OneLake) and modern ELT patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the interpersonal abilities to build trust with business stakeholders.
- Self-directed and comfortable working remotely with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to enhance analytics work (model development, DAX authoring, documentation, code review, communication).
