About the Role
Our UK Enterprise business is rapidly expanding, and we need to pair this momentum with operational rigor. As the Regional Sales Director, you will lead a team of six Senior Enterprise Account Executives and Client Directors, focusing on acquiring new logos and expanding business within the UK's largest organizations in transportation, logistics, infrastructure, utilities, and field services. Your mission is to transform strong performance into a repeatable, scalable engine by implementing structure, coaching discipline, and leveraging an enterprise playbook.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage the performance, development, and day-to-day activities of Senior Enterprise AEs, driving net new logo acquisition and expansion within strategic UK accounts.
- Coach your team through complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles with significant contract values (seven figures over multi-year terms).
- Establish and maintain a structured operating rhythm, including pipeline reviews, deal inspection, and forecasting discipline, while actively contributing at the deal level.
- Develop your team's skills in accessing economic buyers, building multi-threaded relationships, and positioning Samsara’s portfolio against customer priorities.
- Critically assess deal qualification, challenge assumptions, and guide your team through the complexities of selling into large UK enterprises.
- Foster commercial growth through cross-selling, multi-product attachment, and stakeholder mapping.
- Collaborate with the AVP of Strategic and Enterprise Sales UK, peer RSDs, and cross-functional teams (Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing) to ensure team support.
- Champion and embody Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a frontline or second-line sales leader in B2B enterprise technology, with direct responsibility for team quota attainment.
- Track record of coaching Account Executives through complex, multi-quarter sales cycles with average deal sizes of £250K+ ACV, including experience with seven-figure ACV deals.
- Experience selling into large, multi-stakeholder organizations with complex buying processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and enforce a structured sales operating cadence (pipeline generation, deal qualification, forecasting accuracy, stage progression).
- Strong commercial acumen for multi-product or platform selling.
