The Role

As we expand into new services and segments, Maple is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. You will connect go-to-market strategy across our B2B and B2C channels, with a strong focus on our employer and partner business. This role involves owning market, competitor, and customer intelligence to inform positioning and leading commercialization for product expansions.

This is a high-strategy, high-research role for someone adept at shaping service offerings, analyzing the competitive landscape, defining market categories, and building customer advocacy to expand market share. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Sales, Client Success, and the broader Marketing team to refine our value proposition and identify high-impact scaling opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define positioning, messaging, and value propositions for core offerings, and lead go-to-market strategy for new products and services.
  • Own market, competitor, and customer intelligence, translating internal and external signals into strategic recommendations that shape product and go-to-market decisions.
  • Shape category design and customer advocacy to enhance Maple's market presence and expand share.
  • Inform packaging and pricing strategies, grounded in data and customer insights.
  • Partner with Product and Growth teams to improve conversion across key journeys and identify high-impact opportunities for testing and scaling.
  • Prioritize strategic focus on opportunities that drive the most significant business impact.

What Success Looks Like:

First 90 Days:

  • Gain fluency in Maple's customers, products, and markets.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Sharpen positioning and messaging for priority services.
  • Develop a clear point of view on key opportunities, supported by data and a recommended path forward.

Next 12-18 Months:

  • Lead go-to-market strategies for major product launches.
  • Evolve packaging and pricing to better reflect customer value.
  • Establish foundational product marketing elements (messaging frameworks, personas, competitive positioning) to support Maple's scale.
  • Drive measurable lift in adoption and revenue.
  • Become a trusted strategic partner on growth and market strategy.
  • Shape a cohesive product marketing approach across the business and elevate product launch capabilities.

What You Bring:

  • 5–7 years of marketing experience, with significant time in a product marketing role.
  • Strong B2B product marketing experience, with the judgment to navigate a business serving consumers and the public sector.
  • A track record of measurable business impact (e.g., deals won, share gained, successful launches).
  • Deep strength in strategy and research: positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, category design, and customer advocacy.
  • The ability to connect strategy to execution, moving seamlessly between strategic frameworks and conversion testing.
  • A data-driven mindset and curiosity to understand the 'why' behind data.
  • Sharp communication skills to translate insights into actionable plans and build cross-functional relationships.
  • The ability to quickly become a credible expert in new spaces.
