About This Role
Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders creating essential research and market predictions. As a Director within the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, you will establish yourself as a credible voice in your area of expertise, producing pragmatic and provocative insights for Gartner clients. This specific role focuses on the growing Human Resources Practice, with a deep dive into Learning & Development (L&D) technology and the transformative impact of AI on HR. You will advise Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) and HR functional leaders on HR tech strategies, initiatives, and investments.
What You'll Do
- Create innovative, thought-provoking research and provide objective, actionable advice to clients in various formats (writing, video, podcasts) on L&D technology, HR tech markets, and emerging AI in HR use cases.
- Develop new insights and actionable approaches to address client needs and requests.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify barriers and reframe client thinking for business advancement.
- Demonstrate thought leadership by developing independent insights to evolve the research agenda.
- Track vendors, emerging technologies, and practices in the AI-driven HR technology space to research, analyze, and predict market trends.
- Provide individualized advice to CHROs, HR functional leaders, and HR technology leaders using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Create and deliver high-value presentations for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.
- Support sales teams by acting as a voice of the market and driving client engagement.
- Perform high-quality content peer review.
- Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner insights and strategy.
- Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions with peers.
- Identify and implement research process improvements.
- Mentor and coach more junior team members.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience in HR technology leadership roles, or equivalent education and experience.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
- Specific knowledge of core L&D platforms and technologies, including challenges in transitioning legacy systems, AI's impact on skills, and L&D team structures for technology ownership.
- Profound understanding of CHRO challenges and familiarity with CHRO and L&D leaders' workflows and priorities.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing HR technology strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives in enterprise organizations.
- Deep first-hand knowledge of the HR tech landscape, particularly learning technologies, market dynamics, vendors, products, emerging use cases, and AI's impact.
- Strong executive presence to establish credibility with senior-level audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
