The Mission

The Media Strategist is instrumental in transforming advertiser briefs and RFPs into persuasive, insight-driven proposals. This role is crucial for equipping Kargo's sales team with compelling pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral, ensuring Kargo's value proposition stands out and maximizing revenue opportunities.

What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)

  • Elevated RFP Responses: Consistently deliver high-quality, on-brand, and timely proposals that accurately reflect advertiser objectives, minimizing rework.
  • Dynamic Sales Collateral Library: Maintain an up-to-date and actively utilized library of pitch decks, one-pagers, and product materials showcasing Kargo's latest offerings.
  • Strategic Learning Agendas: Develop research-backed measurement and testing plans for key clients, positioning Kargo as a strategic partner.
  • Clear Product Narratives: Translate complex product features into compelling sales-ready materials that empower the sales team.
  • Proactive Lead Generation: Create and deliver outbound-ready materials, such as trend reports and insights, to spark new conversations.

Core Technical Capabilities

Required:

  • 2-3 years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related field (internship experience counts).
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides for creating polished, strategic presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft narratives linking data to advertiser goals.
  • Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and emerging media trends.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with third-party research vendors and incorporating their data into strategic storytelling.
  • Experience supporting a sales or client-facing team in a fast-paced ad tech environment.

Compensation

U.S. Salary Range: $74,000—$78,000 USD (Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skills).

Hybrid Work Model

This role requires onsite presence 4 days per week.
