Your Mission

The Media Strategist is pivotal in transforming advertiser briefs and RFPs into persuasive, insight-driven proposals that empower Kargo's sales team to win business. This role operates at the nexus of creative ideation and strategic execution, responsible for developing essential pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral that highlight Kargo's unique value proposition. Without this role, the sales team would rely on generic presentations, potentially leaving revenue opportunities unrealized.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.

Outcomes — What Success Looks Like in 6–12 Months

  • RFP Responses: Consistently deliver strong, on-brand, and timely sales proposals that accurately reflect advertiser objectives and require minimal revisions.
  • Sales Collateral: Maintain an up-to-date and actively utilized library of pitch decks, one-pagers, and product materials reflecting Kargo's latest offerings.
  • Learning Agendas: Develop strategic, research-backed measurement and testing plans for key clients, positioning Kargo as a thought leader.
  • Product Narratives: Translate Kargo's product knowledge into clear, compelling sales narratives for the front-line sales team.
  • Proactive Content: Create and deliver a regular cadence of outbound-ready materials, such as trend reports and category insights, to stimulate new conversations with clients.

Skills — Core Technical Capabilities

Required

  • 2-3 years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related field (including internships).
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides, with the ability to independently create polished, strategic, and visually engaging presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, revenue reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of crafting narratives that link data to advertiser objectives.
  • Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem, including fundamental online advertising concepts and emerging media trends.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with third-party research vendors and their data integration into strategic storytelling.
  • Experience supporting sales or client-facing teams in a fast-paced media or ad tech environment.

Compensation

In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $74,000—$78,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.
