The Mission
The Publisher Partnerships Manager is tasked with protecting and growing revenue from Kargo’s most valuable publisher relationships. This role oversees the day-to-day health of a portfolio of premium digital media partners, focusing on performance monitoring, technical problem-solving, and delivering consultative service to make Kargo indispensable. A successful manager ensures publishers meet their revenue goals, minimizes churn risk, and positions Kargo as their primary partner.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
- Proactive Portfolio Management: Consistently monitor performance, identifying and addressing revenue trends before partners do.
- Strong Publisher Retention: Ensure assigned partners renew and expand their engagement with Kargo, with minimal and quickly resolved escalations.
- Valuable QBRs: Deliver insightful Quarterly Business Reviews featuring competitive analysis and actionable, forward-looking recommendations.
- Swift Technical Resolution: Independently triage and resolve supply-side issues (header bidding, integration bugs, reporting discrepancies) in collaboration with product and ops.
- Accelerated Time-to-Revenue: Ensure smooth onboarding for new publishers, minimizing friction and ensuring clear communication from introduction to the first monetization milestone.
Core Technical Capabilities
Required:
- 3-4 years in a publisher-facing role at an SSP, DSP, or ad tech platform, with deep understanding of the supply-side ecosystem.
- Fluency in programmatic fundamentals, including supply/demand dynamics across mobile, video, and CTV, and factors affecting inventory quality and fill rates.
- Hands-on experience with header bidding, VAST, OpenRTB integrations, and/or Amazon TAM.
- Proficiency in Excel for performance analysis (pivot tables, lookups, functions).
- Ability to generate, interpret, and present reporting with actionable insights for publisher partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable leading calls, QBRs, and presentations independently.
Preferred:
- Existing network of publisher relationships and contacts.
- Experience onboarding new publisher supply partners through technical integration.

Compensation
U.S Salary Range: $70,000—$80,000 USD
