The Mission
The Senior Solutions Architect serves as the technical authority responsible for bringing new advertising surfaces live on the Kargo platform, from initial partner discussions to scaled, revenue-generating integration. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, partnerships, and product, owning the custom code, SDK development, and troubleshooting necessary to transform novel ad environments into reliable inventory. Success in this role enables Kargo to expand into new surfaces faster than competitors.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
- Timely & Quality Integrations: Consistently launch new partner integrations from technical kickoff to live status with minimal escalations or rework.
- Scalable Solutions: Develop reusable code, SDKs, and integration patterns for new surfaces, reducing integration time for subsequent partners.
- Self-Sufficient Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and resolve complex ad-serving issues, latency problems, and discrepancies across various environments.
- Differentiated Partner Support: Provide best-in-class technical support, leading to shorter integration timelines and lower friction compared to competitors.
- Comprehensive Documentation: Create and maintain accurate API specifications, integration guides, and best practices for all active surfaces.
Core Technical Capabilities
Required:
- 5+ years in a technical ad tech role (integrations, solutions engineering, TAM) with hands-on implementation experience.
- Deep fluency in the programmatic ecosystem (SSPs, DSPs, ad servers like GAM, VAST/VPAID, header bidding/Prebid), especially in non-standard environments.
- Advanced JavaScript proficiency for custom logic and non-standard DOM manipulation; strong HTML/CSS for ad rendering in various contexts.
- Experience with REST APIs (designing, debugging, integrating) for client-server and server-to-server communication.
- Proven partner-facing communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts accurately for diverse audiences.
- Methodical debugging and troubleshooting skills across web, mobile, and desktop using standard tools and log analysis.
Preferred:
- Experience integrating non-traditional or emerging ad surfaces (gaming, CTV, desktop apps).
- Familiarity with IAB standards, privacy compliance frameworks, and ad delivery QA processes.

Compensation
U.S Salary Range: $160,000—$180,000 USD
