About the Role
As the Director, SA&I Business Partner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process for a segment of NielsenIQ North America's Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) portfolio. This includes developing portfolio-level strategies focused on client retention and growth, executing sales processes from prospecting to deal conversion, and driving an active sales pipeline to meet operational attainment targets. This is a commission-based selling role with a base compensation and a sales-based incentive tied to annual revenue generation versus target.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall SA&I revenue target/quota for your assigned portfolio.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Clearly articulate the SA&I offerings and value proposition, aligning them with client business challenges and KPIs.
- Effectively handle objections and navigate resistance from current and prospective clients.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of client business strategies and communicate these effectively to cross-functional partners to drive sales conversion.
- Develop and activate comprehensive annual client strategies and account plans for strategic clients, including financial forecasting, pipeline management, and collaboration with NIQ Account Leads.
- Analyze client, market, and competitor dynamics to provide insights and identify opportunities for senior leadership.
- Identify incremental SA&I business growth opportunities and potential additional revenue streams.
- Represent all SA&I services and practice areas in a solution-agnostic manner, focusing on the total portfolio across your client base.
- Manage SA&I responses for complex study designs, cross-specialty proposals, and RFPs.
- Lead client meetings with the objective of penetrating the C-suite portfolio-wide.
- Drive sales strategy for your portfolio, including awareness generation and engagement through CRM tools and thought leadership.
- Personally deliver thought leadership content.
- Maintain product and technical knowledge through continuous learning.
- Drive sales with a long-term perspective while delivering short-term results.
- Partner closely with NIQ Account Leads and Practice Area teams on strategy, joint selling, and potential RMS RFP responses.
- Effectively manage SA&I or NIQ client funds, ensuring timely usage for SA&I products.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of direct sales experience in developing new business and revenue streams.
- 7-10 years of market research experience selling to expanded verticals such as Business Services (Financial + A/O), PPG (Packaging, Government, Non-Profit), Media/Media Agencies, and Sales Agencies (Brokers, Ingredients, etc.).
- An entrepreneurial mindset with creative thinking and a passion for building strong relationships and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with and selling to C-level executives.
- Strong strategic prospecting and new business development skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and precisely across all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to operate independently with a strong entrepreneurial and growth mindset, while also excelling in collaborative team environments.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Proven experience in successfully meeting high sales revenue targets.

Additional Information
- This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $117,500.00 - $136,000.00. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
- This role is eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
- This is a US-based role. Must be in the US at the time of application to be considered.
- This role is remote (#LI-Remote).
