The Impact of a Sr. Associate Knowledge Manager at Coupa:

As Coupa's Value Services division transitions to an AI-first operating model, you will be the strategic guardian of our enterprise knowledge systems. Your mission is to convert unstructured content into precise, machine-readable data to power autonomous AI agents. By establishing data integrity, archiving obsolete information, and enforcing strict formatting standards, you will prevent AI inaccuracies and ensure agents operate with high precision. Ultimately, your work will eliminate thousands of hours of manual research, enabling frontline teams to focus on strategic customer outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare existing knowledge systems (e.g., Confluence, Highspot) for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) by cleaning, deduplicating, and formatting unstructured content.
  • Certify data sources by enforcing strict metadata labeling, archiving outdated content, and establishing bounded contexts to prevent AI hallucinations.
  • Convert complex human-readable formats into clean, standard formats (like Markdown) easily parsed by AI models.
  • Enforce "Golden Data" standards as the gatekeeper for Value Services knowledge repositories, ensuring content adheres to "Single Source of Truth" principles.
  • Establish reporting to identify and remediate "data rot" (stale pages, broken links, contradictory policies) before it impacts AI performance.
  • Act as a liaison to the enterprise Data, AI, & Analytics organization to align local content standards with corporate policies.

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • 3-5 years of experience in large-scale content auditing, deduplication, and migration, transforming unstructured documentation into AI-ready repositories.
  • Experience designing and implementing metadata frameworks, taxonomy structures, and relational data models.
  • Deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) to optimize content formatting, labeling, and governance for AI accuracy.
  • Experience administering and optimizing enterprise knowledge management platforms like Confluence and Highspot, using Markdown and HTML.
  • Proven ability to establish and enforce data governance standards and content quality controls across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience utilizing a "Red Team" approach to evaluate data quality, identify gaps, bias, and inaccuracies, ensuring reliable AI reasoning and knowledge retrieval.
