Position Summary
Aetna, a CVS Health company, is looking for top talent! As a Telesales Representative, you will be directly responsible for acquiring new members using a state-of-the-art lead generation platform supported by real-time analytics. You will own the member relationship throughout the year, serving as the primary contact for inquiries related to plan benefits, products, and services, and resolving utilization issues. This position is part of a high-performing team with a strong emphasis on personal and professional development and career growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire new members via inbound and outbound calls.
- Assess customer needs using insightful questions and superior listening skills.
- Service existing members, addressing inquiries about product utilization and benefits.
- Cross-sell ancillary and other applicable products to existing members.
- Focus on member retention.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CMS and state regulations.
- Multitask effectively, utilizing computer systems while interacting with prospects and members.
- Ensure accurate capture of information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Accountabilities
- Meet sales goals, conversion rates, and cross-sell rates for new member acquisition as outlined in the annual performance plan.
- Contact prospective members within the time limits specified in the annual performance plan.
- Achieve the member retention rate as outlined in the annual performance plan.
- Ensure the highest levels of member satisfaction, measured by surveys and retention rates.
- Develop an expert-level understanding of the company's products, services, and processes.
- Successfully pass annual requirements including:
- American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP)
- Continued Education (CEs)
- Product Certification
- Required Security and Compliance training
- Client/Carrier Certifications
- Any required CMS Certifications
Required Qualifications
- 4-year college degree OR 1 to 2 years of experience selling multiple Medicare products (e.g., Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement).
Preferred Qualifications
- Life & Health insurance license is required within 60 days or two attempts of employment start date.
- Active computer use for daily job activities.
- Ability to multitask while on the phone.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to manage emotions, embodying a "customer is always right" approach.
- Adaptable to a high-pressure, achievement-oriented environment.
- Drive to build, manage, and grow a book of business, aiming for entrepreneurial success.
- High level of computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations quickly without a calculator.
Education
4-year college degree or 1 to 2 years’ experience selling multiple Medicare products (i.e., Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement).
Additional Information
- Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40
- Time Type: Full time
- Pay Range: $16.50 - $29.62 per hour. Actual offers depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
