About the Role

We are seeking an HPC Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will become an expert on the Rescale platform and its application to customer workflows, delivering deep technological solutions and support for some of our most powerful features. You will be responsible for publishing, managing, and optimizing complex HPC software for our most demanding customers, and developing/implementing processes and best practices for HPC services and support.

Your Impact at Rescale:

• Become an expert in the Rescale platform and its application to customer workflows.
• Deliver deep technological solutions and support related to Rescale’s most powerful features.
• Publish, manage, and optimize complex HPC software for our most demanding customers.
• Develop and implement processes and best practices associated with HPC services and support.
• Act as an advocate for customer needs internally, collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams to achieve customer success goals and contribute to company objectives.
• Work closely with the customer support team to enhance customer value realization, driving satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and implement opportunities for increased productivity through automation and tools.
• Design and improve processes to boost customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding commitments and enhancing deliverable quality.
• Provide technical support to customers, independent software vendors, and strategic partners.
• Troubleshoot software issues for customers running on Rescale, requiring in-depth knowledge of the software and its operating environment.
• Maintain software available on Rescale, including installation, benchmarking, and performance optimization for the target environment.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of experience with HPC Systems and HPC Applications
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating system environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Interest in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• General awareness of HPC concepts, schedulers, MPI, containers, Kubernetes, and GPU computing.
• Introductory exposure to scientific computing libraries and tools like OpenMP and CUDA.
• Experience applying AI-assisted workflows (AI agents, code generation, automation) within the software development lifecycle to enhance engineering velocity and quality.
• Basic understanding of at least one CAE discipline (e.g., CFD, FEA, EDA, ML/AI, Molecular Dynamics, Weather Forecasting, Optics).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across IT, engineering, and R&D.
• A self-starter with a strong desire to learn and support project success in cross-team environments.
• Technical aptitude to quickly learn the Rescale product, platform, and customer journey within the HPC and enterprise PaaS landscape.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
• BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
