Overview

The Platform team at Speechify is responsible for building and maintaining all backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new product features, text-to-speech functionalities, and external APIs. This is a critical role ideal for individuals who think strategically, thrive in fast-paced environments, are passionate about product decisions, and have a track record of building exceptional user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs, including the public TTS API and internal APIs for Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements.
• Oversee the entire backend API landscape, focusing on enhancements and optimizations for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, with a focus on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience goals.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Proven experience in backend development with TypeScript/Node.js (required).
• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Efficiency in ideation and implementation, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.

Compensation

• Germany Based Salary Range: 30,000-120,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock, depending on experience.
