About the Role
As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of Python web applications, ensuring their stable operation. You will analyze issues, resolve bugs, implement improvements, and contribute to the overall quality and architecture of the applications.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and further development of Python web applications to ensure stable operation.
- Analysis of tickets, logs, and monitoring data for error and root cause identification.
- Analysis and resolution of programming errors, including implementation of solutions in the source code.
- Implementation of minor improvements and optimizations in the existing system.
- Maintenance of source code in Git, including creating pull requests and implementing agreed-upon changes.
- Adherence to code standards and creation/execution of test cases for quality assurance.
- Performing deployments in test, acceptance, and production environments, including prior quality checks.
- Processing and documentation of tickets in the ticketing system from acceptance to completion.
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation within the code, wiki (including diagrams), and supplementary documents.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in developing Python applications with the following libraries: Flask/Dash, Pandas, Numpy (FastAPI and React are a plus).
- Expertise in data processing with Python, with access to various data sources (SQL databases, CSV files).
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Kubernetes (Openshift) and Helm Charts.
- Demonstrated responsibility for non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, data consistency, and operational security.
- Ability to translate complex functional requirements (e.g., system control, timetable or frequency data) into robust, future-proof data and application architectures.
- German language skills at a minimum C1 level.
Nice to have:
- Experience interacting with internal stakeholders (requesters, end-users, IT infrastructure).
- Experience in the energy market and/or knowledge of electrical engineering are advantageous.
