  • Location: Northlake, IL
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday Day Shift + Rotating Saturdays

Position Summary

As a Driver/Warehouse Associate, you are the backbone of our automotive glass business, responsible for the day-to-day operations that ensure product reaches our customers. You will provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries and assisting with will-call pickups. This role also encompasses general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Drive with purpose and work with pride, splitting time between customer deliveries and warehouse support.
  • Make safe, timely deliveries to customers and assist with customer pickups.
  • Support warehouse operations including loading/unloading trucks, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Unload inventory from incoming vehicles and inspect for damage.
  • Process and stock inventory, pick correct products and quantities for orders.
  • Load racks and trucks with glass, clean glass, and assess stock for damage.
  • Affix proper labels to glass.
  • Follow delivery routes and time schedules, process/record payments, and input data into the ordering system.
  • Safely operate the delivery vehicle and receive/process return stock.
  • Complete logs and documentation.
  • Break down boxes, stock accessories, and organize inventory.
  • Interact and assist customers during delivery and at will call.
  • Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch, including cleaning warehouse and counter areas.
  • Perform other job tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Pass an MVR check.
  • Safely and competently operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pickers.
  • 3-5 years of driving and delivery experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and adaptable to warehouse environments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and/or take direction in an ever-changing working condition.

Education and Licensing Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands

  • Requires close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal/mobile device and visual inspection involving small defects or parts.
  • Ability to perceive sounds and make fine discriminations.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass.
  • Ability to remain stationary and/or upright for prolonged periods, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shifts.

Base Salary

The listed range represents our reasonable expectation for compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, knowledge, skills, and work location. Base pay does not include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, and 401k plan, holiday, sick, and vacation days.
