About the Role

We are hiring a Pricing and Market Strategist to lead three core pillars of our Solutions Marketing function: Pricing & Packaging, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and Competitive Commercial Intelligence. This role is crucial as NetBrain sharpens its commercial strategy to align with its advanced technology and loyal customer base. You will report to the VP of Solutions Marketing, own pricing and monetization initiatives end-to-end, and serve as the primary pricing point of contact for assigned products and go-to-market motions.

What You'll Do

  • Pricing & Packaging Strategy: Lead comprehensive pricing and monetization initiatives, including research (customer discovery, conjoint analysis, willingness-to-pay, economic value estimation), price experiments, and data-driven recommendations. Ensure pricing rigorously aligns with and drives measurable customer value. Develop business cases (ACV, attach, win rate, renewal economics, ARR uplift), secure approvals from Finance, CRO, and CEO, and establish a quarterly rhythm for monitoring pricing performance with Sales Ops and Finance.
  • SaaS, MSP & Segment-Specific Pricing: Spearhead the commercial design for NetBrain's emerging SaaS offerings, defining value metrics, subscription models, usage-based and hybrid structures, edition strategies, and migration paths from existing models. Develop distinct pricing models for MSPs and specific market segments alongside the core direct-sale motion, including MSP constructs (per-tenant, per-managed-device, white-label, pooled-license), enterprise and mid-market discount/ramp structures, federal and service-provider variants, and rules for channel vs. direct sales.
  • ICP — Commercial & Value Alignment: Operationalize the NetBrain ICP and align our commercial model to it. Calibrate pricing, packaging, and offer constructs to maximize value realization for each segment, quantifying the value NetBrain delivers and using it to anchor pricing decisions and sales conversations. Translate the ICP into commercial guardrails (price floors, packaging defaults, discount norms) per segment, including explicit 'do not pursue' guidance.
  • Competitive Commercial Intelligence: Maintain a sales-ready understanding of competitor pricing, packaging, discounting strategies, and offer structures, including list pricing, value metrics, bundle architecture, term and ramp structures, channel margins, MSP economics, and SaaS commercial plays.

What You Bring

  • 6–8 years of experience in Pricing, Monetization, Product Marketing, or Strategy/Operations within SaaS or enterprise software, with at least one end-to-end pricing and packaging leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS pricing models (subscription, usage-based, hybrid) and value-based pricing principles applied to commercial decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with pricing research and experimentation (customer discovery, economic value estimation, conjoint, willingness-to-pay) and translating findings into commercial strategies.
  • Advanced analytical and AI skills for revenue forecasting, scenario analysis, and business case development for pricing initiatives (AI/Excel/Sheets).
  • Experience with alternative commercial models (MSP, ISV, Partner) alongside a direct-sale motion.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to credibly engage with senior leadership (CRO, Finance, Sales, Product). Comfortable with ambiguity, possessing a low ego and high ownership, driving alignment without positional authority.
  • Background in network management, automation, observability, or adjacent infrastructure markets.
  • Experience navigating pricing model transitions (e.g., perpetual to subscription, capacity to consumption, on-prem to SaaS).
  • Proven experience launching or scaling an MSP/managed-service go-to-market motion alongside a direct-sale motion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for computer use; ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.

What We Offer

  • A comprehensive compensation package including an estimated base salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 + Bonus. Actual salary will vary based on objective assessment of qualifications during the interview process.
