About the Role

Fivetran is looking for a German-speaking Senior Sales Engineer to join their Enterprise sales team. Based in the United Kingdom, this full-time remote position involves working closely with the sales team to understand complex enterprise customer needs and demonstrate how Fivetran's data replication solutions can achieve their business outcomes. You will provide technical expertise, identify requirements, and manage successful proof-of-value processes throughout the sales cycle.

What You’ll Do

• Engage with Enterprise customers to understand their business, use cases, and data replication requirements.
• Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations to Enterprise audiences.
• Ensure technical wins by managing a structured proof-of-value process.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to drive change and improvements within Fivetran.
• Work closely with Sales Representatives, maintaining a strong customer focus and technical excellence.
• Stay current with the latest industry technologies and trends.
• Assist team members with advanced technical or business roadblocks.

Skills We’re Looking For

• Native or professional proficiency in German.
• 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies, with hands-on experience.
• Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with other data replication or ETL tools.
• Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Hands-on networking experience in both cloud and on-premise environments.

Bonus Skills

• Experience developing partner relationships.
• Specialized expertise in security posture.
• Experience with self-hosted and SaaS software applications.
• Hands-on experience with DBT.
• Docker/Podman/Kubernetes experience.
