About GuidePoint Security
GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that empower organizations to make informed decisions and minimize risk. Through a unique three-tiered, holistic approach, GuidePoint helps leading organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, identify threats, optimize resources, and integrate the best-fit solutions to mitigate risk.
Role Overview
As a Pre-Sales Security Architect, you will partner with account executives and practice leadership to build customer confidence, articulate technical solutions, and ensure seamless handoffs to delivery teams. This customer-facing role focuses on discovery, design, and positioning, working across SIEM, SOAR, detection-as-code, and emerging technologies like Snowflake for security data lakes. You will not be responsible for deep implementation but rather for providing breadth of knowledge, strong communication, and sound judgment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical discovery calls and translate customer requirements into high-level solution designs.
- Speak credibly about product capabilities, integrations, and architectural trade-offs (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM, Tines, Snowflake).
- Draw integration diagrams, validate technical feasibility, and position GuidePoint’s differentiated capabilities.
- Support account executives in pre-sales engagements, ensuring technical alignment before formal scoping.
- Stay current on security operations trends, emerging platforms, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with delivery architects to ensure smooth transitions from sales to implementation.
What We’re Looking For
- Technically Credible: Fundamental understanding of how SIEM/SOAR/detection-as-code ecosystems operate.
- Approachable and Articulate: Ability to explain complex topics in accessible terms.
- Customer-Focused: Strong listening skills, adept at asking the right questions, and building trust quickly.
- Curious and Adaptable: Comfortable learning new platforms (e.g., Snowflake) as customer demand evolves.
- Experience in security operations, consulting, or pre-sales engineering is preferred.
- Breadth of knowledge, communication skills, and judgment are valued over hands-on keyboard implementation expertise.
Location & Travel
- Applicants must reside in the Northeast region (NJ to Maine).
- Up to 25% travel is required, primarily within the region.
