About the Team

The Consumer Marketing team at DoorDash is dedicated to bringing the mission of empowering local economies to life for millions of consumers. The New Vertical Consumer Integrated Marketing team specifically focuses on connecting customers with everything beyond restaurants—groceries, alcohol, convenience, and retail. They build category awareness, drive trial, and foster repeat ordering habits. The Habitation role within this team focuses on helping new customers develop consistent ordering habits within New Verticals through insight-driven storytelling, cross-channel media strategies, and collaboration with product and pricing teams.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager, Consumer Integrated Marketing – New Verticals Habituation, you will lead strategies to deepen engagement and drive retention for DoorDash’s New Verticals. You will develop audience-first, insight-driven strategies and build go-to-market plans spanning on- and off-platform channels. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Integrated Marketing, this role focuses on identifying, testing, and scaling habituation opportunities to encourage consumers to try new categories and drive Monthly Active User (MAU) growth. This role combines marketing strategy across product marketing, growth marketing, and lifecycle strategy, offering the chance to shape both new initiatives and scaled programs.

  • Lead the Habituation Vision: Work with the Senior Manager to define the strategy, goals, and roadmap for driving repeat engagement and communicating DoorDash’s value proposition across New Verticals.
  • Lead Integrated Go-to-Market Planning: Build and execute full-funnel marketing campaigns that drive growth through paid, owned, earned, and in-app channels.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer: Deeply understand consumer motivations and barriers, surfacing insights that inform both marketing and product roadmaps.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally: Serve as the central point within marketing, collaborating across Brand, Creative, Retention, Performance, and CRM, while supporting integrated campaign development and execution with Creative, Growth, Retention, Organic Social, and Influencer teams.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Track key metrics, cultural trends, and competitive insights to evolve how DoorDash engages customers during value-building and habit-forming moments.

We’re excited about you because you have:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in a corporate or startup environment, with a focus on retention and product marketing in a B2C environment.
  • Fluency across the marketing mix: Understanding of how brand, CRM, paid, and lifecycle channels work together for short- and long-term growth. Experience across organic social, brand, and paid channels, with knowledge of how they integrate across the funnel.
  • Proven success driving retention and customer engagement, with experience in lifecycle, growth, or value-based marketing.
  • A strong strategic and analytical mindset: Ability to translate data and audience insights into clear marketing actions and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience shaping affordability or value narratives, including promotions, pricing, or perception-of-value campaigns.
  • Exceptional cross-functional influence, with the ability to build alignment and drive execution without direct authority.
  • A creative, collaborative problem-solving approach: Thrives in ambiguity, thinks like a GM, and enjoys solving for the "why" before the "what."
  • A bias for action and ownership: Dependable, self-directed, and skilled at prioritizing impact in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus: Experience in paid marketing, SEO/SEM, or lifecycle optimization.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation & Benefits

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the range of $108,800—$160,000 USD, determined by factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. This role may also include equity grants.
