About junini
junini is building the software infrastructure for a new business model in the optics industry. We work closely with opticians and are developing a platform that fundamentally changes a market that has been barely digitized until now. We are nearing the completion of a pre-seed round. The POC has proven successful, and the launch of initial pilot cooperations with opticians is imminent.
We are now looking for a Founding Engineer (m/f/d). Together with the CTO, you will prepare the platform for productive use by our first customers. In addition to real creative freedom and competitive compensation, you have the opportunity to receive equity in junini.
What You'll Do
- Production-Readiness: The platform is ready. Together with our CTO, you will bring it from POC to true production maturity.
- Product Ownership: You will be responsible for the further development of entire areas of the platform.
- Architecture and Stack: You will have a significant influence on our technical direction.
- Customer-Driven Development: You will work closely with our first customers to continuously improve the platform.
- AI-first Engineering Culture: As the first member of the engineering team, you will help shape our AI-first development culture.
What You'll Bring
You have proven implementation strength and a high standard of quality, and you thrive in the dynamic environment of a newly founded company. Specifically, we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of Backend experience, proficient in Java/Kotlin and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Integrations: Ideally, you have experience with Auth, Payments, and ERP integrations.
- Cloud Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Frontend/React Experience: Ideally, you have a basic understanding of frontend and React applications.
- Pragmatism and Ownership: You can manage with minimal process and enjoy making decisions.
- Experience in an Early-Stage Startup is a plus.
- Fluent German: Our first customers are in Germany. You are capable of communicating confidently with them.
