About the Role: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing robust and scalable data pipelines and modern cloud-based data platforms. These platforms will ensure trusted, high-quality data across the organization for reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of data engineering, architecture, data governance, and business domain experts to contribute to complex, high-impact engagements in regulated and data-intensive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and auditability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Optimize data flows and ETL processes.
  • Support the development of cloud-based data platforms.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or ETL development.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with Python or another scripting language.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and lineage concepts.
  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data across modern and legacy platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Certifications (Optional):

  • Microsoft certifications on Data Engineering / Fabric.
  • Databricks certification.
  • Snowflake certification.
