About Lemon.io
Lemon.io is building the autopilot for hiring, offering a faster and more efficient alternative to traditional recruiting agencies by delivering vetted, responsive candidates quickly. Hundreds of fast-growing companies rely on Lemon to build their engineering teams. As a profitable, bootstrapped company, we are rewriting the legacy recruiting industry in real-time.
Why This Role Exists
Lemon.io has a compelling story and AI-driven approach but lacks a strong public narrative. This role is designed for someone to own our external voice and distribution, making Lemon impossible to ignore in the engineering-hiring conversation. You will be the architect of how Lemon sounds and captures market attention, working directly with the founder with the autonomy that comes from being bootstrapped.
About the Position
The Communications Manager will be responsible for Lemon's external voice and its strategic distribution. The primary goal is to establish Lemon as a category leader by ensuring consistent visibility where our buyers and candidates engage. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the founder, involving significant hands-on writing and the development of distribution systems. While typically requiring 4+ years of experience, we are open to candidates with less experience who demonstrate exceptional writing skills and judgment.
