About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to elevate REDAPL, our Referential Data Platform. REDAPL is central to tracking customer infrastructure resources and relationships, enabling critical insights into performance, cost, security, and more across products like Cloud Security Posture Management, Resource Catalog, and Cloud Cost Management. The platform handles over 4.5 million updates per second.

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead and collaborate on projects, contributing to key technical decisions in data ingestion, processing, and query pipelines. You'll drive platform improvements in value, resilience, and scalability.

What You’ll Do

  • Build a query engine supporting efficient relationship traversals for demanding workloads.
  • Contribute to design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects to enhance platform value, resilience, and scalability across multiple teams.
  • Lead and guide other engineers in architectural platform decisions.
  • Identify system risks and reliability trends, designing solutions to address them.
  • Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led initiatives for short- and long-term planning.
  • Collaborate with internal product teams to understand requirements and plan for their growth as they integrate with REDAPL.

Who You Are

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience with multiple types of data stores.
  • Proven contributions to platform or infrastructure-focused initiatives over several years.
  • Experience leading impactful technical initiatives where performance, cost efficiency, ease of use, and resilience are key concerns.
  • Significant back-end engineering experience, including building and operating distributed systems at high scale.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Graph Databases (e.g., Neo4j, Memgraph, JanusGraph, ArangoDB, Amazon Neptune, PuppyGraph).
  • Production-grade experience with Apache Iceberg.
  • Solid grasp of query planning or contributions to production-grade query engines/projects (e.g., Trino, Calcite, Substrait, DataFusion), ideally demonstrated through open-source contributions or PMC membership.
