About the Role

Bend Health, a Lyra Health Company, is seeking an experienced professional with a background in business development, healthcare sales, and consulting. You should be passionate about mental health and skilled at inspiring others. This role requires strong verbal and written communication, project management, and quantitative abilities, with comfort in both spreadsheet and presentation software. A strong sense of urgency, empathy, and meticulous organization are essential.

This role is fully remote, requiring approximately 40% customer travel. Candidates must be physically located within commuting distance to Albany, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed annual quota for acquiring new Bend Health partners.
  • Inspire senior executives at leading companies to prioritize mental health.
  • Independently prospect new business and collaborate with Bend and Lyra lead generation partners.
  • Educate partner leadership on the US mental health care system and Bend’s benefits.
  • Communicate Bend’s unique value proposition verbally, in writing, and quantitatively.
  • Successfully negotiate with medical directors, administrators, network contracting, finance, and procurement executives.
  • Consistently document deal progress to support business growth.
  • Coordinate with Bend and Lyra's Customer Success teams for seamless implementations and ongoing client management.
  • Build relationships with contracted health systems to grow referral volume and expand service scope.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Leverage analytics to build compelling business cases and measure impact.
  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Work seamlessly with internal teams (Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Finance).
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Maintain focus and energy in a fast-changing environment and persist through challenges.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, consulting, or comparable roles.
  • Experience selling directly to health systems or consulting with them is preferred.
  • Tenacious and persistent.
  • Skilled negotiator on business contract terms.
  • Interest in understanding the US healthcare system.
  • Passion for mental health.
  • Intellectually curious.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quantitative aptitude for identifying insights from data.
  • Willingness to travel (40%).
