About the Role

Veeam is expanding its platform beyond data protection to encompass data security, identity, and AI trust. We are seeking a Manager, AEO/SEO to spearhead the strategy, execution, and team responsible for organic discovery across traditional search, AI answer engines, and generative search experiences. This pivotal role will influence how Veeam appears on platforms like Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and Claude. The ideal candidate will combine enterprise SEO maturity, AI search strategy, technical depth, analytical rigor, and team leadership to make Veeam more discoverable and authoritative for enterprise buyers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead SEO/AEO Strategy and Roadmap: Define and lead Veeam's global SEO, AEO, and AI search strategy, translating business priorities into measurable organic discovery programs. Support roadmap development for technical SEO, content optimization, AI answer visibility, entity authority, competitive share of voice, and performance. Partner with leadership to operationalize SEO/AEO for launches, campaigns, and web experiences.
  • Lead the Team and Manage Execution: Manage, coach, and develop the SEO/AEO team, setting priorities, assigning ownership, and managing capacity. Build repeatable frameworks for keyword strategy, prompt tracking, technical audits, content briefs, launch measurement, AI visibility reporting, and competitive monitoring. Manage agency and vendor relationships and educate stakeholders on SEO/AEO best practices.
  • Drive Technical SEO and Site Authority at Enterprise Scale: Own the technical SEO roadmap in partnership with Web, IT, UX, Engineering, Analytics, and Digital teams, prioritizing initiatives for crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, internal linking, information architecture, and content discoverability. Ensure the web ecosystem supports both traditional search engines and AI-driven retrieval systems.
  • Build Veeam's AI Search and Answer-Engine Discipline: Define how Veeam measures and improves visibility across AI search and answer engines. Support prompt strategy and partner with Marketing Ops on AI visibility tracking, answer sentiment, citation analysis, competitive monitoring, and recommendation-rate measurement. Strengthen authority signals for AI systems and ensure content is structured for clarity and extractability.
  • Connect Organic Discovery to Business Impact: Define and track KPIs including rankings, organic traffic, engagement, conversions, AI answer visibility, LLM recommendation rate, competitive share of voice, and launch performance. Build performance narratives to inform leadership and influence content strategy, web priorities, and campaign planning.
  • Influence Across the Organization: Act as a strategic partner to Web, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, PR/Comms, Brand, Analytics, and regional teams, advising on evolving buyer behavior in search. Educate stakeholders on SEO/AEO as a technical, content, authority, and measurement discipline.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7–9+ years in SEO, technical SEO, organic growth, digital strategy, or search, with 3+ years managing direct reports. Experience in global B2B tech, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, or enterprise software is preferred.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise covering crawlability, indexation, rendering, structured data, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, page speed, Core Web Vitals, international SEO, and enterprise CMS workflows.
  • Solid understanding of AEO, GEO, AI search visibility, LLM-driven discovery, AI Overviews, answer engines, citation analysis, prompt tracking, entity optimization, and structured content.
  • Proven ability to build SEO/AEO strategies tied to business outcomes. Strong analytical skills with experience in dashboarding, executive reporting, and KPI frameworks using tools like seoClarity, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, AEM, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and translating technical complexity into business recommendations. Strong cross-functional leadership across content, web, product marketing, demand gen, PR, analytics, engineering, and agency partners.
  • Experience supporting global launches, enterprise campaigns, thought leadership programs, and large-scale web/content optimization initiatives.
  • Strategic, analytical, and operational mindset, with the ability to connect big-picture direction to day-to-day execution in a rapidly evolving field.

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.

  • Zone 1: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Boroughs

$177,000—$328,700 USD

  • Zone 2: Washington, California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area)

$162,200—$301,300 USD

  • Zone 3: Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, New York (excluding NYC boroughs); Sales roles located in Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona

$147,500—$274,000 USD

  • Zone 4: All other US locations

$128,400—$238,300 USD
