About This Job

As an Account Director for MRI-Simmons, you will be responsible for growing partnerships directly with brands, focusing on the nation's largest blue-chip clients. We seek a determined, self-motivated individual with digital and data sales experience, eager to proactively pursue new business. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker capable of capitalizing on new opportunities within a strong team-based environment. Responsibilities

  • Prospect, network, and develop new business opportunities within designated markets.
  • Consult with clients to understand their current use of consumer insights and identify how MRI-Simmons offerings can address their needs.
  • Generate revenue and achieve annual goals through consultative selling and upselling of syndicated and custom solutions, data enrichment, and audience products.
  • Communicate effectively with clients both verbally and in writing, providing excellent customer support.
  • Negotiate annual or multi-year contracts and maximize renewal rates.
  • Develop and deliver insightful presentations, educating clients on MRI-Simmons capabilities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for assigned territories/verticals, reporting progress to the VP of Brand Sales.
  • Travel up to 35% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling insights (syndicated or custom) and/or addressable audiences directly to brands.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to present compelling narratives using data.
  • Thorough understanding of the digital media ecosystem, including audience data, measurement solutions, platforms, ad tech, and agencies.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong skills with MS Dynamics or similar CRM systems.
  • A BA with a concentration in Communications, Marketing, or Media is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $78,500 - $150,000, varying based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. The role is eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
