Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer on the Enterprise Activity Management team, you will:

• Attend and engage in weekly stand-ups, team meetings, and manager 1:1s.
• Partner with product to scope new features, provide project estimates, and inform quarterly commitments.
• Clearly communicate complex problems and technical concepts to both engineers and non-engineers.
• Write/review quality, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Triage bugs and resolve issues that may arise during on-call rotations.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members, and across teams.
• Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with an understanding of best practices.
• Experience in developing front-end applications using React (or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks).
• Experience with writing tests using Jest and Cypress.
• Deep understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g., HTTP, cookies, asset loading, caching).
• Ability to assess, communicate, and complete project milestones with a manager and team members in a time-sensitive manner.
• Must speak English proficiently.
• Embrace an AI-first approach, leveraging AI to make faster, smarter decisions.
