Responsibilities

• Lead complex, system-level design solutions that elevate user experiences across Flo’s app, particularly within the User Centric stream on 0→1 product initiatives.
• Architect scalable frameworks and influence product direction.
• Focus on the Virtual Clinic initiative, connecting tracking, insights, consultations, and follow-ups into a seamless experience.
• Tackle challenging design problems, set the quality bar for the team, and ensure designs are accessible, inclusive, and emotionally resonant.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, research, and content disciplines to raise craft excellence and contribute to Flo’s overarching design vision.
• Translate ambiguous product and data challenges into clear, compelling, user-centered experiences.
• Design features, end-to-end flows, and experiments aligned with user needs and business goals.
• Produce prototypes and high-fidelity mock-ups using Figma or other prototyping tools.
• Mentor and support other designers through feedback, craft guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Advocate for emotionally intelligent, ethical design and ensure accessibility standards are upheld.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience designing mobile applications.
• Portfolio demonstrating systemic design, advanced interaction design, motion and micro-interaction expertise, and measurable product impact.
• Experience creating scalable frameworks, contributing to design systems, and interaction models.
• Proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping tools (e.g., Protopie).
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex ideas into clear narratives and influence stakeholders.
• Deeply collaborative, with experience mentoring and raising the craft bar for design teams.
• Commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and ethical design practices.
• Experience in AI/LLM-powered design exploration is a plus.
• Experience working in health tech or regulated industries is a plus.
