Responsibilities

Build & Architect: Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs powering AI-driven features. Build robust Python applications integrating with AI models. Work with Python and legacy PHP systems in monolithic and microservice architectures. Solve complex technical challenges in video processing, content management, creator workflows, and platform scalability. Make pragmatic architectural decisions.
Collaborate & Communicate: Produce clear technical specifications. Be highly responsive in communications.
Contribute to Engineering Culture: Actively participate in code reviews. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Champion engineering best practices.

Requirements

5+ years of backend development experience with systems shipped to production at scale.
Python mastery; experience with PHP (or willingness to work on legacy PHP codebases).
Solid backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, caching, queuing systems, distributed systems.
Modern backend architecture: distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures.
API design principles (REST, GraphQL, or similar).
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Containerization and orchestration (Docker).
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and modern dev workflows.
Autonomy: accustomed to working independently and delivering without constant supervision.
English is mandatory.
Nice to have: Comfort with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.); experience in a startup or production company with limited resources.
