We are expanding to become the one-stop shop for all home services across three brands on a single shared platform. Our engineering teams build in small, focused initiative teams, working alongside Product Managers and Designers. AI coding agents are a key part of our workflow, enabling a small, senior team to ship more, faster, and with higher quality. We hire engineers who are driven by ownership and energized by shipping to a real marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Act as the engineering anchor for an initiative, working within a tight-knit team to shape problems, define technical approaches, and direct AI agents for code implementation.
• Own the full lifecycle from problem framing through production and post-launch metric review.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers as a true product partner.
• Make most technical calls with architect review for significant architectural decisions and input from peers.
• Ensure implementation quality through prompts, guardrails, evaluations, tests, and review loops for agent-authored code.
• Own the initiative's outcome and the metric it was designed to move.
• Maintain a high bar for production correctness, security, performance, and observability.

Requirements

• AI-native: Proficient with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) for daily production work.
• Operating at a lead level: Proven experience making key technical decisions and driving projects to completion.
• Outcome-driven: Focused on metrics and improving user experience.
• Strong horizontal partner: Able to collaborate effectively with PMs, designers, and engineering peers.
• Decisive and documented: Capable of making and documenting technical calls quickly.
• A force multiplier: Demonstrates ability to create reusable artifacts that benefit the wider team.
• Customer- and pro-minded: Cares about the outcomes for both customers and service providers.
• Deep skill in at least one of our tech stacks (AI agents, PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/React/React Native, Redshift/dbt/Segment/Airflow, AWS/Datadog/Sentry/GitHub Actions) plus credible production experience with AI coding agents.
