Senior Product Designer - Financial Intelligence Platform

EarnIn, a pioneer in earned wage access, is seeking a highly creative and self-motivated Senior Product Designer to join its Financial Intelligence Platform team. This role is crucial for designing and improving foundational experiences that empower members with financial flexibility and wellness. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, design, and other partners to drive design excellence across core features.

About the Role:
This position bridges deep design leadership with cross-functional execution. You will be responsible for designing and refining core customer journey experiences, establishing design patterns, identifying friction points, and championing quality and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction and retention.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and refine core experiences across the customer journey (bank connection, account setup, earnings tracking, repayment).
• Partner with PMs, engineering, and data teams to define design requirements and validate solutions through research and usability testing.
• Establish and maintain design patterns and systems for consistency and simplicity.
• Identify friction points in critical flows and design solutions to improve usability, clarity, confidence, and compliance.
• Leverage research findings and customer feedback to inform design strategy and prioritize improvements.
• Champion quality and polish, ensuring designs reflect EarnIn’s commitment to reliability, trust, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and design excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 4+ years designing consumer-facing digital products, with demonstrated success on core experiences.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful problem-solving, systematic design, and measurable improvements to user satisfaction and retention.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial products, user trust, and designing for clarity in complex workflows.
• Validation: Ability to balance creative thinking with research-driven validation; comfortable collaborating with data teams to measure impact.
• Communication: Excellent storytelling and communication skills, articulating design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Tools: Skilled in Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design workflows.
• Environment: Comfortable in structured environments with planned roadmaps; ability to drive projects to completion.
• Passion: Passion for solving real customer problems and improving financial wellness.
• Preferred Background: Systems design, design patterns, or design operations preferred.
• Metrics: Experience improving user satisfaction and retention metrics through design-driven solutions preferred.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid role based in Bengaluru office, with 2 days on-site per week.
