Compliance Program Analyst

About Clearway Energy Group:
Clearway Energy Group is a leading force in the transition to a world powered by clean energy. Our portfolio includes significant wind, solar, and battery energy storage assets, alongside conventional dispatchable power generation. We are committed to developing a nationwide pipeline of new energy projects and providing reliable electricity today.

What The Role Is:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Compliance Program Analyst to join our Continuous Improvement Team. This role focuses on owning and maturing Clearway’s GO 167-C compliance program (CPUC regulation for electric generating facilities and energy storage systems) and serving as the organizational representative for lessons learned across the fleet. The ideal candidate possesses operational knowledge of power generation facilities, strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively across diverse stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • GO 167-C Compliance Program Ownership: Mature the GO 167-C compliance program, developing consistent processes and documentation standards (e.g., Maintenance and Operation Plan Summaries, certifications, safety incident reports).
  • Regulatory Reporting & RFI Response: Lead internal efforts for GO 167-C and CAISO regulatory reporting and data requests, coordinating across operations, engineering, legal, and other teams.
  • Causal Investigations & Safety Incident Support: Lead causal investigations into operational and safety-related incidents, applying plant operations knowledge to reconstruct events and support regulatory responses.
  • Lessons Learned Program: Capture, document, and share lessons learned from operational events across the fleet.
  • Audit Readiness & Corrective Action Tracking: Maintain records for CPUC audits and track open corrective actions, escalating items at risk.
  • Program Dashboards & Stakeholder Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership visibility into compliance status and progress.
  • Documentation & Process Standardization: Create and maintain standardized documentation and workflows for program consistency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Legal, IT, and other teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Program Development & Management: Design, implement, and oversee operational programs, developing performance metrics and governance structures.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-4 years of experience in operations, program/project management, or continuous improvement, preferably in power generation or renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or maturing operational programs in cross-functional environments.
  • Working knowledge of power plant or energy facility operations, including interpretation of SCADA logs and maintenance work orders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and manage deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to build dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

What Would Be Nice:

  • Wind, Solar, BESS, or broader renewable energy operations experience.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with SAP, CMMS, EAM systems, or operational analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional operational programs in a multi-site environment.
