About the Role:
The VP of Field Operations for the Northeast United States is a critical leadership position responsible for optimizing practice operations, driving sustainable growth, and ensuring operational excellence. This role focuses on strategic relationship-building, team leadership, and implementing best practices to meet business objectives, enhance productivity, and foster continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute quarterly practice visit plans, conduct bi-weekly site visits, and lead direct reports to maximize growth and financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with partner and associate doctors, communicate the company's vision, and address escalated issues.
  • Oversee onboarding and off-boarding processes for associates, including growth planning and transition support.
  • Coordinate payroll issues with relevant teams.
  • Mentor and develop Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs) with individual development plans.
  • Realign and expand the RDO team to drive growth and manage regional budgets.
  • Conduct monthly operational reviews (MORs) with RDOs to create and monitor SMART action plans for EBITDA optimization.
  • Prepare quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for senior leadership.
  • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies to improve practice production and margins.
  • Collaborate with corporate departments on strategic initiatives (recruiting, marketing, compliance, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with policies and SOPs.
  • Focus on associate doctor retention through engagement and mentorship programs.
  • Lead and measure the outcomes of strategic initiatives.
  • Implement best practices across Practice Management Systems (PMS) for scheduling, payment collections, and revenue cycle management.
  • Develop and present business cases for regional growth opportunities.
  • Leverage knowledge of call center configurations to ensure immediate patient access.
  • Communicate KPI practice performance to align with budget expectations, utilizing Excel and pivot tables.
  • Cascade change management and communications to RDOs and practice administrators.
  • Drive new practice openings, relocations, and major equipment acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management within a healthcare or dental support environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership in multi-location management.
  • Strong leadership, team development, and mentoring abilities.
  • Expertise in operational planning, process optimization, and change management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., UKG), Smartsheet, and other workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with call center and telephone routing configurations (e.g., Ring Central).
