Data Engineer (BI & Analytics)

1KOMMA5° is building the energy system of the future with Heartbeat AI, aiming for "Living on wind and sunlight forever for free." We integrate regional craftsmanship with scalable software for solar, storage, heat pumps, and e-mobility, controlling them as an intelligent, integrated system in our virtual power plant. Our goal is to transition 1.5 million households to renewable energy by 2030, with over 3,000 employees globally.

Your Position

• Develop and maintain scalable data models in our Data Warehouse using tools like BigQuery and SQLMesh.
• Translate operational KPIs and business requirements into intuitive Google Looker dashboards and drive the expansion of Data Self-Service in the Operations area.
• Manage end-to-end BI projects, from ad-hoc analysis and new KPI concepts to strategic data and analytics initiatives.
• Ensure high data quality, establish Data Governance best practices, and implement automated data checks and version control.
• Collaborate closely with Operations teams, advise stakeholders with data-driven insights, and take ownership of project implementation from the start.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
• Very good SQL skills and practical experience in analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with BI and visualization tools, ideally Looker (Tableau or similar is acceptable).
• Solid knowledge of Data Modeling, data architectures, and ETL processes.
• Experience in an Operations/Operations Analytics environment and in fast-growing companies (start-up, scale-up, or tech).
• Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights and actionable recommendations.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style.
• High degree of personal responsibility and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken).
