PointClickCare is a leading health tech company dedicated to helping providers deliver exceptional care through innovative solutions. We are seeking an experienced Content Designer for a 6-month contract to design and develop world-class product content that empowers our customers.

About the Role

As a Content Designer within the User Experience (UX) Department, you will create a consistent, relevant, and useful content experience for users interacting with our software. You will work closely with UX Designers, Engineers, and Product Leaders throughout the design process, from content strategy and drafting to writing and refining content. You will advocate for users, explore AI-driven content design approaches, and contribute to conversational design solutions to make our products intuitive and easy to use.

Position Summary

• Design user-centered content that meets user needs and makes complex language and processes easy to understand.
• Develop content architecture to structure content for easy reuse across multiple platforms, personas, and markets.
• Understand user needs and translate them into content design approaches.
• Work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Manage relationships with project teams and communicate clearly.
• Build content designs from prototypes and add content requirements to prototypes.
• Apply basic data analysis to make data-driven content decisions.
• Leverage AI as a design partner for ideation, prototyping, and content exploration.
• Design basic conversational flows for simple interactions, ensuring clarity, empathy, and accessibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Content Design background in a product-focused environment; degree in English, UX writing, technical communications, or journalism preferred.
• Experience writing and structuring language for technical communications, instructional content, and UX writing.
• Foundational understanding of user-centered design techniques.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools and workflows for ideation, prototyping, or content exploration.
• Exposure to conversational design and ability to create simple, accessible conversational flows.
• Experience with authoring and publishing content management systems (CCMS).
• Background working in agile development with cross-functional teams (UX Designers, Product Management, Engineers).
• Self-directed, effective working independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Paligo, Pendo, Jira, Figma, Power BI, Smartsheet is a plus.
• Domain and industry knowledge, previous PointClickCare or EHR software experience is an asset.

• Job Title: Content Designer, Contractor
• Location: USA - Remote
• Term: 6 month contract
• Hourly Pay Rate: $55.95 - $62.14 USD
• Travel: May require travel to Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City offices for onboarding, team events, and meetings.
